Help poor dude - Guild Wars Forums

I just got very very poor cause of the new armors and need to go hunt good stuff a bit. Can anyone tell me if Crystal Desert is a good place to hunt? If so... what monsters should I hunt on? I want to hunt something that can give me 3k+ Gold just by selling it. (I hunt with hechmans...does that affect the drop rates?) If not...what should I do to get easy and fast money?

Hench will take a portion of the drops. Far better to solo if you can.

As its been said, henchies take a portion of the drops.

And as for farming. Any place where you can kill hole mob groups solo its a good place to farm.

Try to find the higher lvl mobs that you can kill by urself with your character build and do it like there is no tomorrow.

Keep at it for a week, and then check ur wallet

What is it you need the gold for? If you have the new armor then there really is no need for it. IF you want an Uber weapon go get on of the collector items. They are so much better then most of the rest of the weapons sold and for a caster there are very few better.

As for your questions.... Yes the desert is a really good place to farm, but you need to find the mobs that you can either solo or ones that you only need a heal hench to help you with. The Fewer heckies you have the faster the gold increases.

farming with my W/Mo is hard, cuz i have to join a group to do it cuz i farm using a quest, and since ive done it like 7 times then ya i need someone with the quest, might move on to desert once i get there tho lol

I've had some good luck in crystal desert goin after drakes.

Also, I just went into both UW and FoW for the first time yesterday, and I came out with an ecto and a ruby.

There are max defense collector shields with +45 health while in a stance and -2 damage received while in a stance. For PvE you really don't need anything much better than that. Even just a plain max defense will suit you fine. You don't need really expensive gear to complete the game.

i was able to farm with a fire elementalist also using mistform for defense.

what are you talking about dude? I only farm with my elementalist. (pyro) At lvl 15 I can pull in easily 2k or so every 20min with very very minimal risk. Your simply with the wrong build or at the wrong location. Ill give you my farming spot if you PM me.

I agree with dragon if this game goes the way of e-bay or another site to buy stuff with LF$ then we have a advanced diablo on our hands.

made 4k in two hours at my special farming place and i got bunch of purple and one gold drops.

Wish i can get stuff that is useful for my current build which is W/E, but lately i'm been getting staffs and bows.
